Excellence, innovation and integrity…

Known for its innovative curricula, the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department fosters interaction between students and faculty and allows students to specialize in a variety of areas.

Students are prepared for successful, professional careers and develop the skills needed for career-long learning, whether through

  • Informal independent study
  • Continuing education, or
  • Formal advanced study

The bachelor's degree programs in Electrical and Computer Engineering provide a balance between theory and practice. The incorporation of the practicum concept in the curriculum provides students with novel opportunities to experience classroom theory in practice.

Special undergraduate programs include

  • A dual degree option leading to a bachelor's degree in both electrical engineering and computer engineering, and
  • A five-year bachelor/master's degree option.

In addition, electrical engineers can pursue a mechatronic concentration with mechanical engineering students. A popular minor for computer engineers is computer science.
